I’m Sorry

During my undergrad I exploded the idea of self-deprecating Canadian humour. I was fascinated with how Canadian’s take pride in being the joke or underdog, as well as playing up stereotypes. I began this exploration by embroidering patches such as I Can Make Love in a Canoe, I’ve Seen Ogopogo, and The Cheezier The Better. This began my interest in installation and sculptural works, other works created during this time included handmade paper mountains wearing mini hand knit toques, hand painted plates with Canadian imagery such as David Suzuki’s face.
